Monday November 30, 2009 - Elkton, MD
Rainy, Dark night with Penny driving the 1996 GMC Jimmy!

Penny was heading to the Big Elk Mall Monday after school.
While turning into The Big Elk mall main entrance from Route 40 East, she was hit by a mid-90's Chevrolet 1500 pick-up truck
She is FINE with a leg bruise but the GMC Jimmy is not.
Roy Carpenter came and picked up the truck and put it inside overnight since it was raining and the windows were out.
Here are the daylight results for your viewing.

Pictures of the car THE DAY BEFORE/Roll out for Winter have been added to the bottom/below!

We had just got the Jimmy off the lift in the shop and detailed it Sunday (a beautiful day here) November 29th, 2009.  It even got hand waxed!

Before we put it away early spring, we had it serviced and new tires installed.  Had some engine parts replaced to pass emissions too.
Looks pretty good from this side!  Everything was perfect on this Truck.

You can see where the WHITE pick-up truck caught the right rear side door and spun the Jimmy around and went down the side.

Roy and Sue had the plastic to seal the windows from the rain.  It's out behind their shop now.  The door is pushed in and there is
a buckle in the roof.  The interior plastic over the rear wheel is also broken inside.

From this angle you can see how far it is pushed in on the side.  The truck was in absolute perfect condition and everything was perfect
operating and clean condition before this happened.

You can clearly see why we didn't drive the truck home.  The rim was cracked and pushed in on the tire -  we didn't want to risk a blowout
driving home.  Brand new tires - virtually 0 miles on all four tires.  Just had the Lube, Oil, and Filter done when we put it away in the Spring.

Another view of the hit to the truck right rear.

Final shot - a really good truck for the past 13 years.  We bought it new from Anchor GMC when they were at the end of Landing Lane
in Elkton from Dave Meadows.  We ordered it with every option available including leather, trailer package and upgraded stereo.

I JUST HAPPENED TO TAKE PICTURES THE DAY BEFORE of the car after we prepared it for Penny's roll-out
Here is what it looked like the beautiful DAY BEFORE . . .

Front of the car in the back of the shop.

Front Left side, Clarke getting ready for a motorcycle ride and Edward helping me shuffle cars in the shop.  You can see how we
store our cars in the background - they live well!

Left side from the rear.

Rear of the vehicle.

Right rear of the vehicle - pristine.

Right front side, Edward cleaning up in the back - the lift where the car was stored.

Front - looks good from here.
